Midnite was born from a serendipitous midnight tea and a shared passion for gaming between two brothers. David and Julien Vignoni, both avid gamers, have been immersed in mobile game development since the early days of the App Store.
They founded Midnite to not only build games they love, but to support and grow the Italian game dev community.
Their goal: to inspire a new generation of game makers and players.
CEO & Creative Director
David, a UX expert by trade and a mobile gaming enthusiast since the PSP era, has worked at various startups across Silicon Valley and London. Once a prolific contributor to open source projects, he ventured into mobile game development in 2009.
President & CTO
An engineer to his core, Julien discovered the joy of game development after graduation. A master of all the SDKs, he has created chart-topping games. He specializes in building scalable tools for Unity development. In his spare time, he loves to play table tennis.
We start out in London as Midnight Tea Studio. Our first game, Numberful, earns a global App Store and Google Play feature.
We team up with Voodoo and Green Panda Games, learning the fast pace of hyper-casual development. Tunich, Slices grandfather, was developed around this time.
Slices, published by Good Job Games, hits #2 in the US and becomes one of the year’s most downloaded games.
We rebrand to Midnite, move to Italy, and launch Get Lucky with Homa Games — 15M+ downloads and chart-topping success.
MAF invests, powering our shift to self-publishing and deep rewarded user acquisition strategies.
We pivot to deeper, more sustainable games, starting development on Survivor Idle Run and Superheroes.
We’ve spent the past years exploring, experimenting, learning — and growing.
Now, our foundations are stronger than ever:
a tight, hybrid team, a portfolio of promising titles, and a vision that goes beyond the next launch.
We’re ready to scale — not just in downloads, but in ambition, in partnerships, and in the kind of games we create.
